Bondi Beach is one of the most photographed places in Sydney. With a white sandy beach and warm ocean water, it is one of the nicest places to relax, swim, and people watch. But what you probably don’t know is that there is a gorgeous coastal walk that starts a couple of feet away from the beach.
The Bondi to Coogee walk is six kilometers in total but is split into six separate sections. While each of these sections are beautiful, they vary in intensity. The first and second sections are probably the easiest. As the parts continue, the harder it is. I wouldn’t say it was a challenging walk; it just contains steep stairs on some parts.
Another thing to know is that you should dress for the elements. If it is summer time, bring sunscreen, water, a hat, and comfy shoes. In the winter, just make sure to bring weather appropriate clothing.
The walk along the coast isn’t just full of interesting rock formations; it also is broken up by beaches. The beaches along the trail are, in my opinion, better than Bondi Beach. The further along the coast you go, the quieter the beaches are which means you can spread out your beach blanket and read your book without anyone disrupting the peace and quiet. I also noticed that the further beaches have more locals, so you have a better chance of making some new friends.
